For lunch (which was more like dinner, as it was nearly 5pm), we went to an Indian restaurant, which was in a mall, not too different in many respects to an American mall. A woman from Pilgrim took Tanika into a store to get Tanika some stuff to take back to her classroom, and we were amused to see that they bought chocolates that are actually from Europe, and can be bought in the USA. After this, we went to a church, which was built to honor some Christian monks who were killed by one of the kings to show the fallacy of Christianity. His plan apparently backfired, and in fact, he later converted to Christianity. The church was also built in a traditional style, so that it was a round building. The most interesting thing about this church, was the place they had created outside for worship. There was a man-made pond, with a bridge to an island in the center. This island was set up to be where a preacher would stand, and there were steps around the outside of the pond where people could sit and listen. It could hold probably more than a thousand people. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it.
